AMOG will lead companies to meet with UN staff in Bonn, Germany
On May 5, 2015, this working group focused for the first time on the issue of mobile solutions for humanitarian relief, will take place throughout the day at the UN Campus in Bonn, Germany.
The event is on the initiative of the WFP / United Nations Humanitarian Response Depot UNHRD Brindisi. Potential European suppliers are invited to attend. We would like to point out that the United Nations will participate not only with procurement officers but also technical managers. A variety of aspects, some very technical, will be discussed with the participating companies in the following four working groups:
Mobile solutions: mobile and semi-permanent structures like tents and containers, warehouses (also refrigerated for storing food and medicines) as well as offices and housing, as long as they are light, practical and easy to erect;
Technical software equipment: GIS-related software such as mapping and aerial data analysis for drones;
Transportation: ATVs or light 4×4 vehicles for the field, and light electric vehicles for the Hubs (such as golf carts or similar);
Green solutions: Innovative sustainable equipment and supplies such as solar solutions, Hybrid Generators and LED Technology;
The participation by an employee with in-depth technical expertise in the working groups is strongly recommended.
We welcome all Portuguese manufacturers and industry suppliers of rescue and mobile solutions for humanitarian aid organizations, as well as institutional stakeholders. Our total capacity for participants is however limited.
The registration fee is € 490, – including meals.
The deadline for registration is April 10th, 2015
